Scholarships

The PAN AMERICAN ROUND TABLE OF SAN ANTONIO is proud to offer scholarships to support the education of girls and women students. We believe that every woman should have access to education,  and we strive to provide the opportunity for  students who need it most.

The Pan American Round Table of San Antonio

The Pan American Round Table of San Antonio is part of an international women’s organization founded in San Antonio in 1916 with the goal of fostering “mutual understanding, knowledge and friendship among peoples of the Western Hemisphere.” To help further this objective, PART-SA offers one or more scholarships annually, as funds allow, to female residents of Bexar County. Scholarships will be a minimum of $1,000.00.

 

Scholarships are intended for deserving female students enrolled and actively pursuing a degree in an accredited state or private college or university in Bexar County or for high school female Seniors who have achieved high academic success, need financial assistance and plan to attend an accredited state or private college or university in Bexar County.

Scholarship Guidelines

Scholarship Policy

• An applicant must be a Senior female student attending a public or private high school in Bexar County or a female student enrolled and actively pursuing a degree in an accredited state or private college or university in Bexar County.

• Student may be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident of the U.S., or a foreign student from a country in the Western Hemisphere.

• Scholarship funds shall be paid to a college or university entitled to receive funds on behalf of the scholarship recipient.

Application Requirements

1. Complete application

2. Submit a short biography that also includes an explanation of your financial needs and challenges.

3. Submit a one or two page essay outlining educational goals, accomplishments, and how post-graduation plans will benefit women and children of the Western Hemisphere.

4. Submit an official transcript which shows a 3.0 average or better (on a 4.0 scale).

5. Provide evidence of current enrollment.

6. One letter of support from the student’s academic advisor to the PART-SA Scholarship Committee Chairperson

7. If possible, attend the PART-SA Scholarship Luncheon, honoring annual recipient(s) and advisor(s). A photo consent form will need to be executed.

8. Submit all requested information by the deadline, 3/31/2025, via the U.S. Mail

They each received $1,000 grants from PART-SA through SAC’s Empowerment Center, which helps students overcome obstacles to reach their goals of higher education and rewarding careers.
